Charleston Summer Music is a program designed to bring together young musicians and offer them exceptional learning, performing, and interacting opportunities in an inspiring, multi-cultural, and fun environment. Participants will benefit from private instruction, chamber music, and masterclasses by world-renowned musicians and educators in piano, strings, and guitar.

A compelling and fun program, offered by faculty of the College of Charleston, members of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and faculty of the Charleston Academy of Music, Charleston Summer Music includes daily practice, string and chamber music ensembles, and concerts. Exceptional performers will be offered solo recitals and scholarships for the following year.

Charleston Summer Music follows Charleston's Spoleto Festival.  It continues Spoleto's inspiration by offering young musicians the opportunity to be immersed in music and perform before appreciative and supportive audiences.

Charleston Summer Music takes place from Monday, June 17 to Saturday, June 22 2013.
